Lula’s criticism
On February 12, President Lula that it was necessary to authorize Petrobras research by oil at the mouth of Amazonas, a basin located on the so -called equatorial margin. According to him, there is a desire to explore the commodity, And Ibama cannot be an organ against the government, even in the structure of the state.
“We need to authorize that Petrobras do research, that’s what we want. If we will explore later, it is another discussion. What is not possible to be in this lenga-lenga, Ibama is a government organ seeming to be an organ against the government ”he said in an interview with the radio Daily FMfrom Amapá.
Lula was not the only one to publicly criticize the environmental agency. On Tuesday (18.FEV), the Minister of Mines and Energy, that the position of Ibama about the requests of the state oil company to study the region is “Absurd”.
“It is absurd to sit on the table with Ibama and he does not point out what is missing, because Petrobras delivered everything that was asked. If there is a decision not to do, they have to explain […] a negative is formed, pointing to the reason for the decision ”said Silveira, in conversation with journalists.
