“No mood, no show”

The news for the year 2025 is the creation of a panel called “No Climate, No Show”, which focuses on discussing the impacts of climate change and the importance of creating actions aimed at reversing them.

The conversation was attended by the coordinator of the Organization of Indigenous Peoples of the Juruá River (Opirj), Francisco Piyãko, who is also one of the main leaders of the people Ashaninka, Acre.

The other participants in the table were Luciana Gatti, a scientist who studies climate change and coordinator of the Greenhouse Gas Laboratory, and the guitarist of the British British Band Radiohead, Ed O’Brien, being mediated by Rodrigo V. Cunha, leader and Tedx Amazonian curator.

Piyãko highlighted the importance of indigenous participation in discussion spaces like this, where the use of art can be struggled for a positive impact on the world.

The Acre representative highlighted the importance of events that lead to the theme to audiences that are not familiar with her/Photo: Ceded

“At this table was our gaze, our way of life, as we relate to this nature. He was a scientist showing what is going with the forests. And also a musician who was arguing that music can also be a way to educate, when you speak with feeling this subject, ”explained the Acrean representative.

Leader Ashaninka also talks about the importance of events that deal with the environmental cause and have a great repercussion, so that it is possible to reach other audiences that may not be inserted in this debate.

“Many are feeling, but they have a hard time being able to do something because they find no guidance. So my speech at this table that we participated in, it was in the sense of showing that there are ways to live healthier, with greater balance. The way of living with the traditions that we live in the forest and for a long time support themselves, ”he said.
