Monstera is one of the most popular pot plants in Polish homes. He owes his fame to a good and intensely green leaves with a rather unusual shape, they are a great decoration of any room. Therefore, a very important procedure in Monster’s care is to regularly shine her leaves. In this way, we will not only give them a wonderful glow, but above all we will remove dust, which blocks the access of sunlight to the plant. Thanks to this, plants at home will look like those from a gardening magazine. I have been using a banana skin for years. It’s a simple and cheap way, and extremely effective. Gently rub with the interior of the skin each leaf separately. Bananas not only wonderfully collect dust, but also shine the leaves of pot plants. The phosphorus and potassium contained in it also perfectly nourish the plant. This way to polish Monster leaves also works for other potted plants.

In addition to banana skins, oil can also be used to shine beautiful monster leaves. Just add a few drops to the water, which we use to wipe the plant. However, be careful not to overdo the amount of olive oil, because the excess can stipulate leaf receptors and lead to plant diseases.

Of course it’s really simple. Monstera likes slightly shaded places. This plant does not like excessive watering. In the spring and summer, it is enough to water it once a week, while in the autumn and winter season-less often, preferably only when the earth is clearly dry. It is also important to ensure adequate air humidity. For this purpose, it is worth sprinkling a monster 2-3 times a week. As for every flower bred at home, so you should take care of the monster, providing it with the right amount of nutrients.
