MP interrogates Nunes for having lived in contractor property – 21/02/2025 – Panel

Prosecutor Karyna Mori had already questioned Nunes in early February. She, however, was not fully satisfied with the mayor’s explanations.

This Wednesday (19), Karyna requested that Nunes will present proof of “payment of the amounts adjusted as rent” and “alleged credit before the real estate”.

“I was on my own initiative, without knowledge of the prosecutor’s doubts, sent documents (minutes notary, contract, receipt) to the Attorney General of the State. I believe that only now the document I sent arrived for her,” Nunes wrote to Panel.

“Anyway, what I sent was of my own initiative, without request of the MP, now becoming aware I will send the other documents and clarifications requested,” added the mayor.

The family of Nunes resided in the property of 266 square meters in the Jurubatuba neighborhood between May and September 2022, when his house in the Interlagos neighborhood was under renovation.

The negotiations, according to the mayor, were made between his wife, Regina, and the real estate Lopes Invest House. Nunes said he only learned about the business after he had already been realized.

The rent, in total, cost R $ 48 thousand, and R $ 13 thousand were paid by the mayor and another R $ 35 thousand by the real estate Lopes, which belongs to the family of Ronaldo do Prado Farias. The latter has already had contracts with the city councils of the City Hall and was director of the local authority (São Paulo Works) by nunes.

The property is registered in the name of the company Imóveis Ravello Ltda., Owned by Fernando Marsiarelli, who also owns the contractor FFL Signalization Trade e Serviços Ltda.

FFL obtained, with exemption from bidding, contracts of works with the City Hall worth more than R $ 600 million since 2021, related mainly to emergency works in bridges, viaducts and margins of streams, according to data from the TCM portal ( Court of Auditors of the Municipality).

It was Lopes who brokered the location. Regarding the fact that the real estate pay $ 35,000 for the rent, the mayor stated that Farias’s company had a debt with him in this amount and paid part of the rent to compensate for the debt.

The headquarters of the real estate, said the mayor, worked in a property that belongs to one of his companies. For eight months in the pandemic, according to the mayor, the real estate requested the postponement of payment of $ 6,000 per month, and the credit generated by this agreement was used to pay part of the apartment rent

In the letter of this Wednesday, the prosecutor also asked Lopes to explain under which circumstances the property was made available.

Nunes and the company has 15 days to speak up. “In order to avoid the establishment of inquiry and the appointment of face -to -face hearing, with prejudice to the already troubled mayor agenda,” wrote Karyna.

In his first response to the Public Prosecution Service, the mayor stated that he suffered all kinds of attack on 2024. He also said he never talked to the owner of the property and that the lease was made by Regina.

“What dismantles any speculation – as it was said to be said by the press – that they knew who would be the owner of the property,” said Nunes.
