PT deputies and senators made 521 posts on February 18 and 19 celebrating the PGR petition
PT deputies and senators were the ones who most commented on social networks about that of the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) against the former president (PL) and another 33 for attempted coup. This is what a survey of Torabit, a digital monitoring platform that analyzed congressmen profiles at X, Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky on February 18 and 19.
In contrast to the petistas, the 2nd party that most approached the theme was the PL, which came out in defense of the former president.
CHAMBER
The survey analyzed 808 publications of federal deputies about the complaint. Of this total, 467 departed from PT members, who celebrated the petition. Right behind, in 2nd position, the PL appears, with 117 posts, claiming political persecution.

Among the 20 deputies who most commented on the subject, only 5 are not petistas: (Avante-MG), (PSOL-RJ), (PSOL-SP) and (PSOL-RS).

Among the 20 opposition deputies who published the most about the complaint, only (Republicans) is not from the PL.

When analyzing the interaction of publications, the governors also came out ahead, with a total of 1,353,480 interactions, against 870,193 of the opposition.
On the other hand, when evaluating publications individually, the right performed the best. The deputy (PL-SP), son of the former president, was the author of the post with the greatest engagement: he added alone 266,471 interactions in the period with one of a cut of Bolsonaro’s speech to journalists after the complaint.
On the ruling side, the deputy (PSOL-SP) obtained the greatest engagement, with one on Instagram explaining the PGR petition, which reached 185,544 interactions.
SENATE
The theme was less commented in the Senate, but still followed the same pattern observed in the House. The survey recorded only 90 mentions of the complaint on the networks. Of these, 54 were from petistas, while the PL made 23 publications.

PT posts were mainly driven by the Senator (PT-PE), who commented on the theme 34 times.

The volume of interactions of the two groups was more balanced: the governors reached 182,276 interactions, while the opposition added 164,995.
As in the House, the individual post with greater engagement came from the opposition. The senator (PL-ES) obtained 37,806 interactions in one on Instagram defending Bolsonaro.
Among the governors, Humberto Costa recorded the largest number of interactions with one on Instagram stating that PGR found a video containing the script of the alleged coup plan, adding 17,875 interactions.
