According to AFP, TASR writes about it.

A statement published by the Vatican’s press service states that the 88-year-old Pope does not have a fever and his “hemodynamic parameters (blood circulation) are still stable”. In the morning he accepted the Eucharist and devoted himself to work.

A similar report on the Pope’s improvement was published by the Vatican on Wednesday evening.

The Pope admitted to the Roman hospital Gemelli last Friday, February 14, with inflammation of the bronchi, which, however, later developed into two -sided pneumonia, which, given the Francis’ age and his existing history, raised concern.

Vatican sources said that, despite his illness, the Pope is still trying to work, reads and signs documents, writes, communicates with collaborators and follows reports. On Wednesday, he even received Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in his hospital apartment.

However, the Pope canceled his program for this week – including Saturday’s audience and Sunday Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica. It is still unclear whether he will present the traditional prayer of the Angel of the Lord, the usual catechesis and the speech to believers on Sunday afternoon.

AFP added that the Pope has been troubled by several health problems in recent years: from colon surgery and rupture to walking and knee pain problems.

During the latest hospitalization, the Vatican publishes regular updates on changes in Pope’s health in an effort to avoid speculation – especially in the online space – that it is dying or even dead.

Pope Francis, who has been the head of the Catholic Church since 2013, has been charged with his age and illness program – this year also in connection with the jubilee year. However, on the days before admission to the hospital, he had a problem reading his homily due to the beginning of the airways.

The Pope, whose civil name is Jorge Bergoglio, cut off part of the right lung lobe at the age of 21, because he had developed an inflammation of the pleuris, which almost lost him for his life.
