Operation is still underway, but Ukrainian secret services say it is being successful
Ukrainian secret services have discovered an original way to reach Russian troops on the front line, inspired by the controversial Mossad operation with the Pagers who exploded in Lebanon and killed dozens of Hezbollah militants: explosive -trapped drone glasses.
“We can confirm that this is a successful operation, which is still running,” an official from the Gur operation to Financial Times told.
Exploding pagers between the Russian troops was on the table, because it would be much easier to tread pagers than drone glasses, but the low use of this means of communication between the enemy has aborted the plan.
“Technologically, it is more complicated than with pagers, but unfortunately the Russians do not use the pagers much,” the same source added.
Ukrainian secret services have acquired a large lot of these First-Person View (FPV) glasses, according to sources of Gur quoted by the Financial Times, which trapped with remote detonation mechanisms. These glasses were then distributed by the Russian drone units through volunteers who were passed by donors.
Multiple explosions are recorded in various regions occupied by Russia, namely in early February, but there is no information about the number of victims so far.
However, more explosions are expected, as, as mentioned above, the Ukrainian operation is still running and the secret services themselves have not yet balanced it.
