Does it make sense or not? How much do you save on heating if you reduce the temperature by a single degree? What is the effect of sleeping and is it healthier to reduce or rather temperatures?
How to set heating?
Heating can be quite a science. What temperature is just what it should be in the bedroom and how big does a single degree play? For heating it is not just a feeling of warmth, but IO what the heat will cost us or how too warm or cold environments to our organism.
What can help you to perfect temperature control in different rooms? For example, these smart heads on the radiator. Everything important will be told by Marek Bezouška in this post from the YouTube channel Home in Cube.

What savings does it represent a single degree?
Setting the temperature can only be quite challenging and you certainly have household members who will whine that it is too hot, while others will complain of cold hands and feet. Of course, the temperature is perceived differently and in general we can say that at an optimal temperature for which it is appropriate to set the thermostat in winter is the value of around 21 ° C. It’s not much or little. All members of the household will adapt to this temperature quite simply and you will not override.
Twenty-one degrees can be enough or little, depending on how well your apartment or house is isolated, whether it pulls somewhere, the corridors are cold, if you have carpets or tiles and so on. Why not 22 ° C?
Of course, this is up to you, but it is generally believed that every reduction of 1 ° C is an average of 6% reduction in heating costs. Since heating is not always and everywhere the same, there is a general saving between 3 and 10 %.
In bedrooms or other rooms where you do not move all day enough to 16 to 18 ° C. Sixteen are really few and the room will definitely be very cold compared to the surrounding twenty -one, but for sleep, the lower temperature is optimal. If you have quality bedding or warm pajamas and overalls, then you do not have to worry about such low temperatures. What’s more, you will probably sleep very well.
Why not pull the heating completely?
However, temperatures below 16 ° C are not recommended, even when you are away from home for a few days. It is not only that later to raise the temperature at the original 21 ° C will be very energy and therefore financially demanding.
Temperatures less than 16 ° C are also unsuitable for hygienic reasons. At these temperatures there is increased condensation of moisture and mold. Of course, this can be reduced by ventilation, but if you are not at home, then you may not be able to ensure the correct air circulation anyway.
On the other hand, temperatures higher than 21 ° C lead to too dry air, worse sleep, but also overall feeling of fatigue during the day. Headaches also occur more often, and in patients and elderly there are problems of cardiovascular origin. For our immunity, the difference between temperatures inside and outside is not beneficial. And every stage plays a role.
