A man was seriously injured when he was stabbed at the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin around 6 pm on Friday, the Tagesspiegel newspaper said, adding that police cordoned off the city and was searching.
Berlin police told the newspaper that the man was injured with a pointed object and transported by the fire department to the hospital. Tagespiegel said the attack occurred on the north side of the extensive Holocaust monument near the US embassy.
Police were not immediately available to comment.
