The choice of the nominee of the first secretary of Alesp (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo) left the party bench divided between two postulants, Mrs Beth Sahão and Deputy Mauro Maurici.
The definition is expected to take place on Tuesday (25). Beth did not agree with this date and has said that Maurici was able to anticipate the definition because, at this moment, it has the majority of the bench.
Maurici says that of the 19 petist deputies, he has a support of 10 or 12. Beth intends to take the choice of name for the week of March 8, International Women’s Day. Thus, the deputy intends to point out that since the PT holds this position at Alesp in 1995, never a woman has been nominated.

PT leader in the house, Deputy Paulo Fiorilo says that the colleague who has most of the supports will be indicated. “It’s not a gender discussion, some can even choose from gender, but I don’t see a relationship with March 8,” says Fiorilo.
