What will you need?
To ensure even better strawberry harvest than last year, prepare a great fertilizer that will take care of everything for you. You will need water, boric acid, potassium manganese, iodine and ammonia. Some ingredients are most likely at home, others can be commonly purchased in shops for gardeners and handymen. They are not too financially demanding and the harvest crop will return all the costs.
Thoroughly to dissolve and mix
Let’s now prepare a magical fertilizer – first in a third of the hot water bucket, mix thoroughly a teaspoon of boric acid and the same amount of potassium permanganate. When all the crystals dissolve completely, top up with cold water, add a few drops of iodine and two tablespoons of ammonia. Again, take care of the perfect fluid mix. You have just created a fertilizer that meets all the requirements of even the most demanding plants for perfect nutrition.
For each plant separately
To get the fertilizer really on all plants, apply it directly to the roots of each of them, at a dose of around three hundred milliliters. Already after a few days you will notice that strawberries literally come to life and deploy many more flowers than you have been used to in recent years. If after two weeks you repeat the procedure, you can also be sure that the strawberries will have enough strength and nutrients to “breed” really large pieces of tasty and fragrant strawberries.
Care for strawberries is important
What care can we give in addition to the aforementioned fertilization plants in the spring? Take care of their leaves by thoroughly removing those that have not renovated the winter or are damaged by cold or pests. Not only will the strawberries be relieved, but you will also increase the air circulation in their vicinity, preventing unnecessary fungal disease from being unnecessary. They revel in humid environments. Likewise, remove any damaged shoots. Do not worry about them, they would not have anyway, just burdening plants that would not have so much strength to care for fruits.
Beware of weeds
At the same time with fertilization, we can also apply a mulch around the plants, which will prevent weeds from growing and protect strawberries from unwanted competition with which they would have to share light and watering.
