Slovak Television will broadcast On Sunday, February 23, at 20.10 h on Two of the eighth episode of the unique documentary cycle of the lyricistwhich reveals creative processes and life stories of the most important lyricists of the Slovak music scene. Through personal stories and depictions of creative processes of legendary lyricists will allow viewers To discover how songs were created that have been accompanied for decades for generations of Slovaks.

In the eighth episode, viewers can see The story of Peter Uličný – a man whose name may not be so well known to the general public, but his lyrics are singing thousands of people. Uličný gave the words in Slovak songs a new dimension – his lyrics are introspective, philosophical, sometimes harsh and sometimes melancholic.

Paľo Habera admits that it was clear when the band was founded that Daniel Hevier would be their court lyricist, but over time he began to feel that he wanted to sing lyrics that could express more civilian emotions. And so he came across a mysterious man whose work has a strange manuscript – It is full of masks, nooks, internal contradictions and emotional transformations. It is remarkable how often it works with the mask motif.

He uses twists such as “a clown in a man’s mask” or rhymes like “I hide in vain, I have a mask in my face …”. When a person reads into the texts of Peter Uličný, this motif discovers in many of his texts. Uličný is not only a lyricist, but also a writer, publicist and owner of the antiquarian bookshop. His love for books has transformed into his career, always moving between music and literature. As people from his neighborhood say, Uličný hids in the secondhand bookshop and is at the same time people are in the eyes!

Uličný also wrote a collection of song lyrics clown in the mask of man, compiled the first anthology of Slovak horror stories of the color of fear, created a book of interviews with Marián Varg About the roads that do not lead to Rome and is the author of many other books.
