The governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema, attended this Saturday (22) of an event promoted by the Blue3 Investment Office, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), and took the opportunity to criticize the Federal Government Bolsa Familia Program.
“It’s very welcome when we have a recession, for people who can’t survive, to have a dignified life. But what we have today in Brazil today is seen as a permanent and not temporary plane, ”he says.
Option for aid
According to the governor, “in many regions of Brazil, we have full employment today and have people who end up opting for social aid.” For Zema, a “crutch” was created.
He points out that people who receive Bolsa Familia end up opting for an informal job to continue having this government assistance. “Informal employment is always a precarious job where they do not develop professionally. It is a beak. This becomes a vicious circle, ”he explains.
Public spending
Romeu Zema also criticized the government’s fiscal deficit: “spends more than consistently collected.” According to the governor, this becomes a short time into “interest raising due to the risk that is expanded and inflation.”
“As interest rates increase, inflation increases, economy slows down, and this is clear that it is happening. It is a blind government that does not see that this is happening, ”he concludes.
