The sink is located in every Polish bathroom, just like a bathtub (unless someone prefers showers). These are two popular elements of apartment equipment that people use every day, but they don’t always be aware of all the functions they offer.
Both in the sink and in the bathtub outside the main hole there is a second small hole, which is usually located under the tap. It does not have decorative functions or is not a coincidence.
Do you know what a small hole is for in the sink at the top edge? Manufacturers of bathroom fittings place it there for a specific, very important reason that has nothing to do with the aesthetics of the device.
It’s about security issues. This hole is to prevent excessive filling of the sinks and bathtubsthrough which it could have enough to flood the apartment. It also has a purely practical function if, for example, you clog a sink with a cork and something distracts your attention (e.g. phone).
