It is one of the quite ordinary household works and yet we sometimes do not know what to do. Do you know when to use hot water and when cold? What is better?

Is there better warm or cold water to mop?

Is it always necessary to wipe hot water and the more warmer the better? Or is there a hook and warm water to mop is not always the best you can do?

The advantages of using warm to very hot water are obvious. It better degreases and helps to relax even very durable dirt. At the same time, hot water may also have certain disinfectants, but the choice of cleaning agents helps to dispose of microorganisms. So where is the problem?

Wipe the floors that are made of stone, tiles or higher temperatures of resistant vinyl. Other floors can be sensitive to temperatures.

We are talking about wood and plastics. Warm or hot water can cause changes in these materials, which can damage the entire floor. There is a risk not only of deformation, but also fading. Therefore, wipe wood and plastic floors with cold or only lukewarm water. In the case of wood, be careful about moisture generally and pay attention to the use of minimum of fluids.

Also use colder water if the floor is often apparent on the floor. These are mainly formed when the water evaporates rapidly. By wiping cold water, you can partially prevent smudges, but the use of clean water and minimum cleaning agent is also necessary. It can also leave traces on the floor.

How to mop floors

Place or vacuum all surfaces before washing floors. This will greatly help to achieve the best possible result. Use only slightly moistened, or very well squeezed mop. Use special detergents or wash the floor with clean water with a few drops of vinegar or lemon juice. In this way, wash vinyl floors.

Ceramic floors and classic tiles can withstand more water, higher temperature and more cleaning agents, but there is no reason to exaggerate the amount of cleaner or bubbles. Both vinegar and baking soda are suitable for tiles. If you want to remove durable dirt, apply a paste prepared from soda with a few drops of water to problematic areas and leave for about 10 minutes before wipe the floor. Up to half a cup of vinegar can be used per liter of water.

Stone floors made of polished marble or granite can be washed with lukewarm water and a slightly damp mop. Never use acidic cleaning agents on the stone. The cleaner should be pH neutral and ideally designed for stone. Be careful for safety when washing the floor. These surfaces are extremely slippery.
