Pope Francis, who is hospitalized due to pneumonia, remains in a “critical” condition and continues to receive oxygen, but has not had new respiratory crises since Saturday night, the Vatican said on Sunday (23). “The complexity of the clinical picture and the waiting necessary for pharmacological therapies to have effect to maintain the reserved prognosis,” according to the latest health bulletin released.

“High flow oxygen therapy remains nasal,” they said, clarifying that the Pope is conscious. “In the morning, in the apartment adapted on the 10th floor, he participated in Holy Mass, with the people who are taking care of him during these hospitalization days,” explained the same source.
