Cooking pasta without the use of water is not only possible, but will also help us enrich its taste and improve the structure of the dishes. In addition, in some cases it will allow us to shorten the time to prepare dinner. Check how to cook pasta without using water.

Pasta can be cooked in many different ways that can affect the taste of the dish, as well as cooking. It depends on us which method we choose. Here are possible ways to cook pasta without the use of water:

  • Pasta cooked in a pan – Instead of cooking pasta in a separate pot, we can prepare it in a pan, mixing it, e.g. with tomato sauce or broth. All we have to do is leave it on low heat in a pan under cover. After a few or several minutes, the pasta will slowly absorb the liquid. Thanks to this, we will prepare our dinner in one pot, and in addition the dish will have a more intense taste.
  • Pasta cooked in milk – Cooking pasta in milk is also an interesting way. Thanks to this, it will be more creamy, which will make it great for dishes such as pasta with cheese or spaghetti carbonara. All you have to do is put raw pasta into the pot, add milk and heat it on medium heat, stirring often. Pasta will absorb milk and the starch released from pasta will make the sauce denser.
  • Soaked pasta before cooking – In the event that we know that at lunchtime we will have little time to prepare the dish, we can shorten the cooking time and soak the pasta for several hours, e.g. in broth or sauce, before we process it. Thanks to this, it will become soft and later you only need to heat it in a pan. This method will work especially for pasta casseroles.
  • Pasta baked in the oven – Baking is also an alternative method. We put a raw product in an ovenproof dish, add sauce and broth or milk to it. Bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
