The municipality of Albufeira prepares to celebrate the carnival with a program full of animation in all parishes of the county. For several days, there will be children’s parades, balls, masks and floats contests, ensuring a lot of party for kids and big.
The party starts on February 25th with the school parade “Sport for All!”, Which will start at 15:30 on Avenida dos Discovimentos. Already on the 28th, it will be the turn of the children’s parade of the guide, which, under the motto “The best sport is here”, will take place between 10:00 and 11:00, next to the local multi -sports.
Carnival Broke Returns to the city’s downtown on March 1, from 14:30, inviting all the revelers to dress up to the celebration of the most fun season of the year. There are three days of Carnival ball at EMA, on March 1, 3 and 4, from 20:00, except day 4, when the party starts early at 14:00.
This year, the Paderne Carnival stands out with nine floats that celebrate local history and culture, joining the revelers to parade through the streets of the parish on March 1, from 19:00, and in Carnival Tuesday, the 4th, at 15:00.
In Ferreiras, there will also be bumbling carnival, this time with a futuristic theme, where figures created by artificial intelligence will parade by Avenida 12 de Julho on March 2 and 4, between 14:00 and 17:00.
The mayor of Albufeira, José Carlos Rolo, stresses that “Carnival celebrations are very important not only for being a time of joy, joke, transmission of traditions, but also of social criticism made in a healthy and fun way , always with respect for all people and organizations. ”

Carnival Brokes returns to Baixa de Albufeira on March 1, organized by the Parish Council of Albufeira and eyes of water. The carnival ball and contest, a centenary tradition in Albufeira, takes place at the Albufeira Multipurpose Space (Ema). On March 1st and 3rd, the doors open at 20:00 and close at 03h00. Paderne Carnival, one of the oldest festivities in the region, is back on March 1 and 4. The organization went to the Paderne Parish Council, which will have nine floats to parade on Saturday, the 1st, illuminating the streets of the village between 19:00 and 21:30, followed by a carnival ball animated by the group “All in One”, from 22:00. Already on Tuesday, the 4th, the parade starts at 15:00, bringing thematic cars that represent the discoveries, the crazy 70/80, the enchanted moods, the enchanted world of Disney and traditions Algarvias, involving six local associations and About 200 revelers.
In the parish of Ferreiras, this year’s Bum Carnival will have a special touch of futurism, with figures created by artificial intelligence to parade on Avenida 12 de Julho, on March 2 and 4, between 14:00 and 17:00. The event, organized by the Parish Council of Ferreiras, promises a spectacle full of imagination and innovation, where it will be possible to see robots, Martians, Andantes chips and hybrid creatures parading through the streets.
The carnival program in Albufeira promises days full of color, joy and tradition, inviting residents and visitors to join the party and celebrate the carnival spirit in the county.
