First successful 5G satellite connection with conventional smartphones
In the competition with Elon Musk’s satellite company Starlink, Eutelsat won a stage. The French-British company announced the world’s first successful test of a mobile phone connection according to the 5G standard by satellite on Monday. Starlink also tested satellite telephony in the USA via commercially available cell phones.
