Died on the morning of Monday, 24, singer Roberta Flack famous for the song Killing Me Softly, at the age of 88. The information was confirmed in a statement sent by a family representative to the magazine Variety. The cause of death was not revealed.

“We are heartbroken for the death of glorious Roberta Flack this morning, February 24, 2025. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Roberta broke limits and records. She was also a proud educator, ”says the text.

In 2022, at the age of 85, the legendary African-American singer was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, which prevented her from continuing to sing.
