Negotiations with Israel through mediators about new stages of a ceasefire agreement are subject to the release of Palestinian prisoners as agreed, Basem Naim, Hamas Officer, said on Sunday (23).

Israel said he said he postponed the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners who was scheduled for Saturday (22) until Hamas met his conditions.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Israel was waiting to deliver the 620 Palestinian prisoners “until the release of the next hostages was guaranteed, and without the humiliating ceremonies.”

O and sometimes speak before they are delivered. Coconments with hostage remains were also loaded between crowds.

“Any negotiations with the enemy through mediators about any future steps are conditioned to the release of the 620 Palestinian prisoners agreed in exchange for the four bodies and the six Israeli prisoners who were released on Saturday,” Hamas Political Office, told Naim, told Naim to Reuters.

“Mediators must ensure that the enemy complies with the terms of the agreement, as indicated in the agreed text.”

The Palestinian Prisoners Society, a local group that supports Palestinian prisoners, said Israel is practicing “state terrorism against prisoners and their families”.

Ghasan Washahi, whose brother should be released on Saturday, said his family was disappointed with the delay.

“Whenever there was a list of prisoners to be released, we expected that the name of Islam was among them, but it was never there,” he said, referring to his brother.

“My mother even began to lose hope that he would be released in the deal. And when his name finally appeared, Israel suspended the deal. ”

on January 19, but so far the deal continued to be in force. At one point, Hamas said it would stop giving hostages because of alleged Israeli violations.

The ceasefire brought a break in the fighting, but the prospects of a definitive end of war remain obscure.

Both sides stated that they intend to start negotiations in a second phase, which, according to the mediators, aims to reach an agreement on the return of all remaining hostages and the total withdrawal of Israeli troops.
