Donut or croissants? It turns out that you can have these two snacks in one. Discover the recipe for butter and fluffy cronut. There is nothing better for a fat Thursday than these sweets, perfect for afternoon coffee.
The name Cronuta was created by combining the English words “Croissant” and “Doughnut”. These cookies are fluffy like cheese tires, but after cutting, we will notice that they have a layered structure, just like Croissants.
They were fried for the first time in the New York bakerywhere crowds are to this day. Confectioners make them up to 3 days. However, these snacks can be prepared yourself much faster, but their implementation will be quite time consuming compared to other carnival snacks.
However, it is worth frying crronutas because they can be a big competition for. Their dough is a combination of this donut and yeast. For this we fold them many times like puff pastry. They are characterized by a unique taste that will remain in our memory for a long time.
As befits a carnival snack, the cronuty is caloric, but on a fat Thursday we can afford a moment of oblivion. Nobody will be able to resist these cookies.

Ingredients:
- 350 g of wheat flour;
- 230 g of cold butter;
- 30 g cukru;
- 15 g of fresh yeast;
- 1 egg;
- 1/2 cup of summer milk;
- 1/4 cup of lukewarm water;
- Frying oil or lard.
Preparation:
To make a cronuty, at the beginning we pour the lukewarm water crushed yeast And let them leave them for 5-10 minutes to start working. In the second bowl We combine milk with an egg with a whisk. Then we mix these two liquids together.
In the next step to another bowl We sift wheat flour and mix it with sugar and butter chopped into pieces. Then add wet ingredients and mix with a spoon, but we do not have to do it exactly – the butter can be visible.
We put such a mass in a bag, which we place in the fridge, preferably overnight. However, we can start working with dough when it doubles its volume.
Put the dough, which managed to grow up, translate into the countertop and knead. Then we fold them into the envelope and roll them out – We repeat the action 3-4 times to get a layered structure similar to puff pastry.
We roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1.5 cm. Using a glass, cut out wheels (dumplings), and in the middle of each we make a small hole with a glass.
We cover the cronuty with a cloth and set aside to rise for an hour. In a pot, warm up the oil to a temperature of about 175 degrees Celsius. In batches, put cakes in hot oil and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Take the cronuty on a plate lined with a paper towel. Before serving, we sprinkle them with powdered sugar or cinnamon. We can also wrap sweets with icing, but then you should wait until they cool completely.
