The President (PT) participates in this Monday (24.FEV.2025) in the signing of the contract of the E and Transpetro expansion program for the purchase of 4 new ships for Petroleira, in Rio Grande, Rio Grande do Sul.
4 Handy class ships will be purchased, with a value of $ 69.5 million per vessel, which should be used to transport oil derivatives on the Brazilian coast. The event with the participation of President Lula takes place at the Rio Grande Shipyard.
On February 17, during the announcement ceremony of the Petrobras Naval Fleet Renewal Program, the president stated that it is necessary to continue building ships and probes to exploit oil in Brazil.
“Our idea of putting national things, manufactured by our companies, on our ships, on our platform, in our refinery, is a mission that we will fulfill every day. Because we need to be aware that a country will only be sovereign when the people are proud, not only of their country, but what they do, what they believe ”pointed out Lula.
“It is not Brazil that is from Petrobras, it is Petrobras that is from Brazil. We will continue to build a ship, building probe, building platform, researching, producing and refining oil ”he pointed out.
