With more than 2 million followers on social networks, the mayor of Sorocaba (SP), Rodrigo Manga (Republicans)will launch a digital communication course for young political leaders.
Mango, known as “mayor tiktoker” said to CNN that the initiative is apartidal and seeks to attract interested parties of all spectra.
“We want to make a great union of people who want to go into politics, with a vision of economic freedom and good ideas, but don’t know where to start,” he says.
The first class in early May will be free. “I want to talk about my career and share my experience in digital communication,” says Manga.
The full package will have ten classes. It promises “specific content” and mobyic rates, with the purpose of “maintenance” of the structure only.
“The goal is not financial. It is to stimulate new leaders, breaking the logic of polarization. ”
“They say that the right takes more on economic development and that the left has a look at social justice. Why not have a social right? ”
Manga states that the course will be open to young people with or without political mandate and that there will be no restrictions on the affiliates of any party.
“The idea is to replicate, throughout Brazil, an effective communication in networks and promote leadership at a time when it is crying out for renewal in politics,” says the mayor.
