A group that seeks to resurrect the event will make an event on Monday (24) in São Paulo to refound the subtitle.
The party has already had two incarnations: the first was and extinguished by the 1964 coup.
Then the acronym resurfaced in 1980 with labor ideas, but was slowly being taken by conservative leaders, under the command of the former deputy. He disappeared again in 2023, when he was fused to the Patriot and give rise to the PRD.
Since then, several historical labor, led by former deputy Vivaldo Barbosa, have collected signatures to recreate the acronym. Organizers say they have already achieved more than half of the approximately 500,000 necessary.
The goal is this year to get the registration, to prepare a nominata of candidates for federal and state deputy next year, giving priority to women.
The flags of the new subtitle will be national-developmentalism, sovereignty and freedom, according to Tarcísio Tadeu, who must be the state president of PTB-SP.
