Prosus, owner of iFood in Brazil, agreed to buy Just Eat Takeaway.com for 4.1 billion euros in cash to create the fourth largest food delivery group in the world and sector “champion” in the European Union, according to Notice released on Monday, 24.
The offer has been unanimously approved by Just Eat Eat Takeaway.com’s management and supervision councils, but is still subject to approval of regulatory bodies.
According to the Global Investment Group, the conditional agreement offers 20.30 euros per action in cash to the Dutch company investors, which represents a 49% prize on the weighted average price of three -month shares and award 22% over its discharge in the period.
“Prosus sees an opportunity to accelerate the growth of Just Eat Takeaway.com, with its strong industry experience to innovate and boost efficiency,” the investment group said in a statement.
