The Olympic name for the corner goal came more than a hundred years ago in Argentina.
In a friendly match in Buenos Aires, at Sportivo stadium stalls (demolished in 1937) on October 2, 1924, the Argentines won from Uruguayans 2-1.

What is a feeling of seeing an Olympic goal at the stadium? I can answer for myself, and it’s more than one. Of amazement (Óoóóó!), First. Of the goalkeeper’s failure, then (as the ball seems to be easily clinging). And finally, of admiration (a remarkable and fascinating bid).
