The rapporteur of the Annual Budget Law (LOA), Senator Angelo Colonel (PSD), announced on Tuesday (25) that the 2025 budget vote was postponed to March 17.
The new date posts in one week the initial forecast, which was March 11, as appointed earlier by the President of the Joint Budget Commission (CMO), Federal Deputy Júlio Arcoverde (PP-PI).
Colonel justified the change by stating that a debate will still be needed among party leaders before voting. He also intends to discuss the issue with Senate President David Alcolumbre (Brazil-AP Union), to ensure that the text is analyzed in both the CMO and the Plenary on the same date.
“I find it very difficult to happen on the 11th. On that date, we should talk to the leaders and adjust some points. Most likely the vote will occur the following week, on the 17th, ”said the rapporteur in an interview with Senate Agency.
