The initiative seeks to attract investments to the cultural projects approved by the Rouanet Law, allowing companies and individuals to direct part of their income tax to make these works viable.
Preservation of Alvinegra History
The creation of the Rooster Museum aims to establish one, where will be exposed trophies, historical documents, iconic items and reports that narrate the club’s trajectory. The project also includes expository and interactive areas in various sectors of the stadium, an educational program and the Fama Calçada with players statues, honoring alvinegro idols. In total, the club seeks to capture at most R $ 14.9 million for this initiative.
The Rooster Headquarters Memorial intends to transform the former administrative headquarters, now unoccupied after the sector transfer to the MRV Arenain a site museum that will keep alive the memory of the house that for decades was the Atletico-MG decisions center.
The space will have exhibitions, cultural events and an immersion in the alvinegra tradition, requiring a maximum capture of R $ 9.4 million for its implementation.
Commitment to the future, without forgetting the past
With the definitive change of administrative headquarters to the MRV Arena, made official in early February, the club reinforces the commitment to modernization, without giving up its roots.
“We have all this collection, which is a very precious good. We have very cool things in our hands here today. You can see that some of these pieces were stored because there is nowhere to expose. So, through the museum, fans will be able to know our entire collection and also collectors, ”said Sérgio Coelho during the event.
Investor and owner of the club’s SAF, Rubens Menin also stressed the importance of maintaining the club’s history in actions like this.
“The time we get here at the arena, outside one of a game, it’s cool. You already arrive and feel the Rooster’s house. We visited some other stadiums in the world a lot, and the story is part. The rooster has history. And that’s what tradition, the story, we remember the story, ”he began.
“This museum is that work that is missing for us to consolidate the story. The fan likes, they bring the sense of belonging of the fans. I think it’s super cool. So I think it was a license plate, ”added Menin.
Incentive at no additional costs
Through the Rouanet Law, companies can invest in the museum and the memorial allocating up to 4% of income tax due, while individuals can contribute up to 6%.
In practice, this destination is a way to strengthen the club at no additional costs, as the amounts passed on are discounted from the tax due to the Union.
With the uptake dinner, Atletico-MG seeks to accelerate the collection process so that projects get out of paper as soon as possible. The Rooster Museum and the Rooster Headquarters Memorial is expected to become reference points for fans and visitors from Belo Horizonte.
