Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said his former orders Mauro Cid was “tortured” in his award-winning denunciation and defended the narrative that scammer acts from 8 January were planned on the left. He referred to the invaders as “poor poor people with the Bible in his hand” and argued that the coup act was “vandalism.” “Will you scam in a building? With nothing, without president, no weapon? Do you think you will prepare a blow with 1500 people and that doesn’t leak? ”He said.
Bolsonaro also defended himself by saying that on the date he was not in Brazil and stated that “he had the feeling that something weird could happen.” The former president traveled to the United States after the 2022 election.

During the interview, Bolsonaro also talked about his relationship with US President Donald Trump and his family. In a relaxed tone, he remembered the criticism he received at the beginning of his relationship with Michelle Bolsonaro, saying that the colleagues of the former first lady warned, “If you stay with him, you will beat you.”
