The Minister of Labor, Luiz Marinho, said, on Wednesday (26), that the provisional measure that authorizes the form of payroll loans for workers with a formal contract should be published by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva after the carnival.
Despite stating that it will be after Carnival, the minister, however, did not dug the date of signature. “There is a date, but I won’t talk,” said Marinho.
The minister also stated that the system is already “round”.
The measure announced by the government seeks to facilitate access to cheaper credit to formal workers in a context of high interest rates on personal credit.
Private payroll will be released to CLT regime workers with the guarantee that, at least initially, the payment process will be based on eSocial information, the platform that already centralizes the worker’s payroll.
In case of dismissal, part of the worker’s FGTS may be used as warranty: 10% of available balance and 40% of the termination fine. However, banks will be free to negotiate this condition.
