Inter Milan won a 2-0 dominant victory over Lazio at home on Tuesday (25), securing a place in the Italian Cup semifinals. Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic was the highlight of the match, scoring a spectacular goal that will be in memory as one of the most beautiful of the season.
Arnautovic scored a great goal in the 39th minute of the first half, after a cross that was headed out of the area. The striker amended a perfect volley from outside the area, sending the ball to the bottom of the net.
In the second stage, Lazio pressed in search of a draw, and Gustav Isaksen had a great chance on 58 minutes, with a tight angle kick, but Inter goalkeeper Josep Martinez made a spectacular defense with his feet.
Inter’s victory was guaranteed on 77 minutes, when Hakan Calhanoglu converted a penalty, shifting goalkeeper Christos Mandas after Samuel Gigot committed missing Joaquin Correa.
Now Inter Milan will face Milan in the semifinals, round round trip in April.
