Man suffers accidental firing while preparing for hunting and will stop at PS

Peruvian Gutierrez Pereira Abad, 35, was the victim of an accidental shooting while preparing to hunt on Tuesday afternoon (25), on a rural property in the province of Iñapari, Peru, which borders Brazil by Brazil Municipality of Assis Brasil, in the interior of Acre.

According to the victim’s brother, Gutierrez was on the farm when a weak rain began. Upon seeing several wild animals, he quickly took the shotgun and tried to approach. However, he eventually slipped, and the gun fell to the ground, accidentally firing at his leg. The shot caused a fracture in the femur.

Due to the severity of the injury, Gutierrez’s brother, with the help of residents of the region, improvised a Padiola to transport the victim to a car. The vehicle was able to cross the border and took the injured to the mixed unit of Assis Brazil. From there, he was regulated by the Acre Health Department and sent, in serious condition, to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, where he awaits new evaluations and surgical procedures.
