Juscelino Filho was with recess in Bahia when he was summoned by Lula; Ministry reported that there was no time for commercial flight
The Minister of Communications, (União Brasil), used a plane from the FAB (Brazilian Air Force) to make a belling between the beach holidays and a meeting with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT). The minister was on the coast of Bahia when he was invited by the president for a meeting on the 10th about the change in the information checking service.
A FAB plane sought the minister on January 10 in Porto Seguro (BA) towards Brasilia. The aircraft then returned to leave the minister in the Bahian city the same day. The justification presented by the ministry is that Juscelino could not arrive in time for the meeting with the president using a commercial flight. The minister was invited around 6 pm on the 9th. The meeting was held on the 10th at 10am.
The use of the FAB plane by authorities is allowed in cases of medical emergency, safety and travel travel. It is regulated by Decree No. 10,267 of 2020, read A (PDF – 290 KB).
What is unclear is the use of the FAB plane to return to the vacation destination. The FAB stated that Decree No. 10,267 of 2020 was used to authorize the flights.

All measures for use were duly documented and authorized by the competent bodies, in full compliance with the current rules. All with total transparency and strictly cool. The trip was authorized only after verifying the fulfillment of all legal requirements.
“The Ministry of Communications clarifies that if there was no full compliance with the legal requirements, the request was promptly denied.”
