The Civil Police launched on Wednesday (26) Operation Pharos, serving 59 warrants in Acre and in 18 states, besides the Federal District.
The operation aims to combat the dissemination of children’s sexual abuse material on the Internet. The only warrant fulfilled in the state occurred in the municipality of Feijó.

In Acre, a cell phone, two chips and a notebook with suspicious notes were seized, which will be analyzed to assist in the advancement of investigations.
“The suspect is being monitored, and the Civil Police continues to investigate possible connections with criminal networks specialized in this type of crime,” the local Civil Police note said.
“Operation Pharos also had developments in several capitals of the country, including Salvador (BA), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brasilia (DF) and Belém (PA), as well as municipalities such as Quixadá (CE), Spring of the East (MT ), Três Lagoas (MS), Uberlândia (MG), São José dos Campos (SP) and Caxias do Sul (RS), among others, ”he added.
Investigated can be responsible for crimes provided for in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA), which establishes penalties of up to six years in prison, as well as other sanctions according to the involvement of each suspect.
“Investigations continue, and the seized evidence will be inspected to identify potential victims and others involved. Our commitment is to ensure that these crimes are rigorously fought and that those responsible are punished in the form of the law, ”said Deputy Roberth Alencar, director of the Capital and Interior Police Department.
