Last week, Oruam was taken to the police station in Rio de Janeiro after being caught driving dangerously in the neighborhood of Barra da Tijuca. He performed risky maneuvers and drove against a military police car.
Shortly after being released, the rapper used the episode to promote his new album, Freedomraising suspicions that the detention would have been part of a marketing strategy. The artist’s behavior, however, generated criticism as he put others at risk.
