The level of the Acre River went back to Rio Branco on Tuesday (25) and reached 11.33 meters at 18h, according to the Civil Defense. Earlier, in the morning, the river was 10.70 meters, which represents an increase of 63 centimeters throughout the day.

The forecast that the river would exceed 11 meters throughout the day.

The warning quota in the Acre capital is 13.50 meters, while overflow occurs from 14 meters. With Rio approaching these brands, the Civil Defense continues to monitor the situation and calls for special attention to the riverside communities.
Last weekend, a strong flood hit Rio Branco, leaving at least 17 flooded neighborhoods and hundreds of homeless families. The level of the river is expected to continue rising in the coming days.
