Police in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced on Wednesday that they had detained three people suspected of trading and abuse of children. During the operation in the city of Brčko in the northeast of the country, it also discovered and saved a large number of children in one of the houses. TASR informs about this on the basis of AP report.
The police themselves did not specify how many children she found in the house. However, local media report up to 31 children, including newborns. The children were taken to safety and in the case of an investigation, the police explained.
The Klix news portal states that The children who had Croatian passports were also found an adult Italian. Police of nationality or age of children or other details of the case did not immediately disclose to the sensitivity of the case. She stated that the prosecutor’s office, the local social service and the Red Cross were assisted with the investigation.
