The Portuguese Energy Company reported on Thursday (27) that the current CEO for South America, João Marques da Cruz, will leave office from June 1, being replaced by João Brito Martins.

The reason for the exchange of executives was not informed.

Brito Martins has been performing duties in the EDP group since 2005, having been general director of distributor EDP Espírito Santo between 2017 and 2020 in Brazil and later Vice President of Distribution at EDP Brasil until December 2021.
