After a long time of use, nasty spots of various origin may occur on the pillows. Sweat, makeup or other dirt. But did you know that you can get rid of them simply and efficiently without having to throw the pillow?
After long -term use of the pillow, stains and spots almost always begin to appear on it. This is despite the fact that you pay attention to the regular replacement of the bedding. Even if you care about the cleanliness of the coating, it is difficult to prevent unpleasant spots from appear on the pillow over time. These spots can have different causes.
Pot, dead skin cells, makeup remnants, or even saliva. Many people decide to simply wash the pillow or have it professionally cleaned. But why risk pillow damage or pay unnecessarily for a dry cleaners when you have available and gentle methods at home to get rid of the stain? Ordinary lemon juice can also be a simple and effective solution.

Home methods of cleaning the pillow
There are several simple and effective ways to remove stains from pillows directly at home. One option is to use the strength of edible soda, which is generally known for its ability to remove dirt.
You can mix it with a little water and create a jelly, which you gently apply to the stains with a brush. Another option is the use of white vinegar, which also has excellent cleaning properties. However, if you do not want the pillow to smell vinegar, or if you are afraid of soda aggressiveness, you have another helper at hand. It is lemon.
Lemon juice is not only a natural bleach, but thanks to the acids contained in it is often used, for example, in cosmetics for lightening hair. It is also useful in textile cleaning. If you want to easily remove stains from the pillow, just mix fresh lemon juice with a little kitchen salt.
Then spread this mixture evenly on the polluted pillow areas. Just leave the mixture for about thirty minutes and then rinse the pillow thoroughly with water. This method is not only effective, but also ensures that your pillow remains without unpleasant odor and will be clean and fresh again.
How to avoid stains on the pillow
The best way to prevent these spots on the pillows is regular washing of the coating. It is recommended to wash the coating at least once a week, reducing the possibility of dirt accumulation. In addition to regular washing, it is also good to choose coatings made of natural materials such as cotton or flax. These materials have the advantage of high absorbency, which means that they absorb sweat and moisture much more efficiently than bedding of synthetic materials. In addition, they are gentle on your hair and skin, which is particularly important if you have sensitive skin.
What is absolutely crucial is thorough make -up removal before lying in bed. Makeup residues can be the cause of hard -to -removable spots. Therefore, do not always forget to wash your face carefully to avoid pollution. If the stains still appear, do not despair. Try lemon juice to help your pillows again get a fresh look.
