Do you wash your favorite sweater and pull it out two numbers smaller? Don’t despair! There is a simple trick that will save your clothes and return it to its original shape. And best of all – everything you need is already at home!
Clothes collided? You are not alone!
Everyone has already experienced it – The sweater, which was still perfect yesterday, turned to a child’s size after washing. Crop for clothing is a common problem, especially if the water temperature is incorrectly adjusted or drying in the dryer.
But don’t despair! There is a way to stretch out clothes again and save it from discarding.
Secret Rescue: Water, conditioner and a little patience
What will you need?
- Lukewarm water
- Hair conditioner or fine baby shampoo
How to do it?
- Fill the sink or bowl with lukewarm water.
- Add one to two tablespoons of hair conditioner and mix.
- Immerse the clotted clothes and let it soak for at least 30 minutes.
- Carefully pull it out, gently squeeze (without twisting!) And stretch to its original shape.
- Place it on a towel, level and let it dry naturally.
Does it work for everything?
This trick is most effective for cotton, wool and cashmere. Synthetic materials are more stubborn, but they can also be gently stretched. A simple trick can save you not only money, but also your favorite pieces of clothing.
Tip at the end: If you want to prevent further clotting, wash your clothes in cold water and avoid the dryer!
Just not a dryer. I dry the jeans using a towel. I will avoid surprises in this way
