The president and the governor exalted the dialogue signed between the two during the launch of the announcement for the construction of the Santos-Guarujá tunnel, on Thursday (27), a partnership between the two administrations.
The event in Santos also had boos to Tarcisio, “without amnesty” choir and mentions to the attempt to scam to reverse the result of the 2022 elections.
Tarcisio was minister of E, with the ally ineligible, is one of the quoted in 2026 by the right field. Lula may run for reelection next year.
The governor sat in the first row of the event, next to Lula. On two occasions, the audience sang the “amnesty” choir, in reference to forgiveness to scammers who invaded and depredated public buildings on January 8. Tarcisio publicly.
There were also reactions, by the Minister of the Civil House and the Vice President, to revelations about the attempted coup to reverse the result of the 2022 elections.
This week Tarcisio classified and “revanchism” the complaint that implied Bolsonaro in the crime.
“While some machines were the murder of their opponents, Lula promotes dialogue and extends their hands for the benefit of the people and the development of Brazil,” said Alckmin, who, according to the Federal Police, had his death plotted by scammers.
In his speech, Lula said that the photograph taken on Thursday may mark a new moment for Brazil. And told Tarcisio that he is “making history” with the partnerships they are building.
“It can be sure that people understand what is happening. There are people on the side of Tarcisio who do not like to see him next to me. There are people by my side who do not like to see me by your side. We have to be aware that we only have one side: to serve the people of and Brazil well.”
The president also said that this moment represented a campaign promise: bringing Brazil back to normal. “We were not elected to fight, we were elected to share our effort and make the people enjoy being governed by someone concerned with him,” he said.
Tarcisio thanked Lula for putting the tunnel as a priority. He mentioned an occasion, amid conversations about the project, when the president said it was not time for political discussion, because they needed to serve the citizen.
The governor stated that this moment shows that “it is possible to sit at the table and build.” “The differences have to be set aside so that we arrive in a consensus and can serve the population,” he said.
Tarcisio was booed twice as he mentioned investments in the region made by Sabesp, privatized in his management. In the first of these, Lula lifted his hands on a gesture.
The president of the Chamber of Deputies was one of those who exalted the dialogue between Lula and Tarcisio. Pressured by pockets to guide the amnesty of January 8, he said he will seek convergence at the head of the house.
“Our people have tired of conflicts, no longer want to radicalism, can no longer live in a tension that only hurts ourselves,” he said.
“While Mayor I made a point of personally here to say that at the head of that Legislative House we will try to replicate this moment of convergence on the house’s agenda.”
The construction of the Santos-Guarujá tunnel came between the Lula and Tarcisio management. Initially, the federal government intended to build the tunnel through public work, with funds from the Union, the State and the Santos Port Authority.
However, however, the port authority signaled that it would dispense with the participation of the state government in the project. The institution is linked to the Ministry of Ports and Airports, headed by Silvio Costa Filho (Republicans), Tarcisio’s party colleague.
The governor was bothered by the attempted shutdown, arguing the allies that he had touched the project as Jair Bolsonaro’s infrastructure minister. Tarcisio then went to Planalto to talk directly with Lula and partnership for the construction of the tunnel.
