The Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, says he supports President Lula’s reelection, although he is from Republicans, even the party that the governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas.
“Everyone knows that I am Lulista. I am very appreciated by President Lula, and I will be with him. But, of course, the party, at the right time, will deliberate on what is the best way to 2026,” the minister said in an interview with sphere, Videocast do.
The minister says he has an excellent relationship with the governor, who would have told him that he does not intend to dispute the Planalto Palace next year.
“He has placed me that he is not a candidate for the presidency of the Republic and that his main project is to reelect the governor of São Paulo. His main works have a time of 4, 5, 6 years, and everything leads to believe that he must be a candidate for reelection in the state,” he said.
The minister must be with Lula and Tarcisio this Thursday (27) in Santos, in the announcement of the bidding, a work that should cost $ 6 billion, funded by both the federal government and by the state.
