Twelve people, five adults and seven minors – one of them two years old – were injured, when they collapsed this Thursday part of the roof of a house located in the town of, in the parish of Verdicio, in the council of Gozón. It is a Romanian family who had been living there for about a month.
All injured, including a minor with severe polytrauma, were transferred to being subjected to more tests after being treated in the place by health services, according to the data provided by the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU). Four of the injured were able to move to the hospital by their own means and the child, 17, serious injury, was transferred by her father. This noon was transferred from San Agustín al, in Oviedo.
He received at 07.09 the call of one of those affected, who warned that part of the house had fallen, located in the Camín de Buddores. The roof of the house collapsed and caused, above all, cuts and bruises to the tenants.
The place moved, who found that there was no one caught in the property and were responsible for beating the area. The Pravia Park, the rescue group and the canine unit were also mobilized. The latter did not intervene after confirming the head of the area that all people were abroad. In parallel, the warning was passed to the Samu, the Civil Guard and the Local Police.
The tenants have already been indicated, to which firefighters accompanied to collect some belongings inside the property, that the structure is not safe, so they should not enter the house. “A misfortune has been able to occur. We feared that there could be deceased. When they warned us, we hit a good scare, ”said the husband of the owner of the property, who moved to the place after receiving warning of the housing collapse.
“They took a great scare, but, fortunately, in principle they are not in danger,” said the mayor of, Jorge Suárez, who has made them available to these people, to help them in whatever necessary. Right now it is being investigated what could happen, since, at first glance, according to the mayor, the building presented a good state of conservation.
