One of the most effective domestic fertilizers is wooden ash. It contains a high amount of potassium and phosphorus, which are nutrients key to the formation of flowers and subsequent fruits. The ashes also help neutralize the acidity of the soil, creating an ideal environment for the growth of cherry trees. Just in the spring decide to decide the thin layer of ash under the tree and gently work it into the soil. Just be careful – the ash should only come from pure wood, not from lacquered or otherwise treated materials.

The best time for fertilization is early in the spring, ideally in March, when the trees are waking up and need a proper dose of nutrients. The fertilizer spreads under the crown of the tree and works easily into the soil. After application, it is advisable to water the tree well so that the nutrients get to the roots.
If you want a really rich crop, feel free to combine more fertilizers. In spring ash and compost, during the season then add a coffee grounds and finally the shells. The tree thus acquires all the necessary substances for healthy growth.
