Rafael Giovanelli, research manager at the Choices Institute, highlighted the importance of the cerrado productive restoration. “The country has the goal of recovering 12 million hectares of native vegetation and half of this – 6 million – is in the Cerrado, which is the cradle of the waters of Brazil and the barn of the world. We need a productive restoration strategy that enhances the vocations of the biome, recovering springs, producing food and generating jobs and income. Our numbers show that this is possible ”he said.
