President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will offer a dinner on Friday (28) to the president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, and the president-elect of Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi, who will take office tomorrow.
Lula arrives in Montevideo at 18h this Friday and will be host of the event at 20h, at the official residence of the Brazilian Embassy in the Uruguayan capital, the Pietracaprina Palace. This week, Lula already with Orsi, Boric and Petro on the defense of democracy, and measures against extremism and the malicious use of social networks.
On Saturday morning, before the inauguration, Lula has scheduled one, former president of Uruguay, who is friend. The last time he came to Uruguay, Lula visited former Uruguayan chief of state, who faces cancer, on his site on the outskirts of Montevideo and awarded him with the greatest Brazilian honor, the Southern Cruise National Order.
“This medal I’m delivering Pepe Mujica not because he was president of Uruguay. It is because he is a companion, ”commented the Brazilian president at the time. “We don’t choose brother. In the afternoon, Lula participates in the inauguration ceremony of Orsi, Mujica pupil and former Uruguayan mayor, who will preside over Uruguay by 2030. The Brazilian president should return to Brasilia on Saturday afternoon.
The forecast is that Lula travels to Uruguay accompanied by the Minister of Agrarian Development and Family Farming Paulo Teixeira and the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Luciana dos Santos.
