Trump: “Very good conversations about Gaza are underway”
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has affirmed tonight that “very good conversations” are being produced on Gaza, in view of the fact that the first phase of the high -fire agreement agreed between Israel and Hamas in January culminates this Saturday. Trump has not given details about those conversations.
On Thursday, Israel sent a negotiating team to Cairo to start the contacts for the second phase, which should culminate with the final purpose of the war. Questioned by the implementation of that second phase, Trump has responded without much concretion. “We will see what happens, nobody knows with certainty, but we will see what happens. There are very good conversations in progress, ”he replied, during a press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
He clearly advocated the solution of two states before the US leader who, on the contrary, has opted to expel the two million residents of the Strip to build there “La Riviera de Oriente Morta”, a proposal that rejects almost everyone, especially the Arab countries to which Trump demands to welcome the expelled Palestinians.
