The Senate server who does not want to take his days off can sell the license
O, David Alcolumbre (Union-AP), signed on the last Friday (28.FEV.2025) a concierge that allows the house servers to take a 1 day license every 3 worked. The system will not work automatically, which means the server will have to request the time off.
The measure established by alcohumbre becomes valid from this Saturday (1st.FEV), according to the publication of the Senate Administrative Bulletin. Currently, the House has a total of 6,003 servers acting, including 3,814 are commissioned, 2,123 staff and 66 requested. This is the publication (PDF).
The server who does not want to take the days off can sell the license. The value, however, should not compose the salary base of the server the following month for social security calculations.
Licenses will be valid for 6 months and, if the server does not request their use, will be prescribed. The counting of the working days will not include periods of removal by medical certificate or other licenses.
The license has a limit of 10 days in a row and the accumulation of days to be compensated may not exceed 20. The benefit will be made available to the server who fulfills “relevant singular function”, being:
- Directorate General;
- General Secretariat of the Bureau;
- Presidency Office;
- Audit;
- Advocacy;
- Legislative Consulting;
- Secretariat of Social Communication;
- Budget consultancy, inspection and control
“Considering that there is a need to offer the consideration due to the exceptional or singular work provided by the Federal Senate employees, notably when accumulating attributions or in the exercise of functions that require the usual performance of institutional representation activities, presenting the prohibition to free work, pursuant to art. 4 of Law No. 8,112 of 1990, ”says an excerpt from the publication.
