An accident involving two buses in Bolivia left at least 33 dead and several injured in the western region of Potosí, police said and other local authorities on Saturday (1st).
The accident happened in the early hours of the morning on the route between the cities of Uyuni and Cobani, when one of the vehicles was going to a carnival festival.
“There was a fatal accident, and has already left us with about 33 confirmed fatalities,” said Osmar Salvatierra, an employee from the municipality of Uyuni, to the local media.
Police are in the region to clarify the circumstances of the accident and will provide an official report.
